[HD video below]
Exclusive HD video interview with Mr. Ang Ching Yang, CEO of the
Kenyir Elephant Conservation Park in Terengganu, Malaysia.
In this interview, filmed on 5 June 2015 at the
Elephant Park itself, we ask the Mr. Ang Ching Yang about the
first year of operations, how many visitors it attracted, what
percentage were from Malaysia, where the overseas visitors were
from and what targets they have for this year.
We also ask where the elephants come from, how
many they have and what expansion plans they have.
You will learn how they
respond to critics of similar elephant camps elsewhere that are
accused of being more about profit than conservation.
We also ask why they started an Elephant Show
when that had not been expected in March 2014, and whether they
have a voluntourism programme in place already. All that and much,
much more in the interview below.
