Malaysia Airlines has implemented the latest
flight operations technology from Sabre.
The Sabre Movement Manager solution gives the
airline a complete view of critical flight operations, allowing it
to streamline activity, improve decision making and ultimately
reduce costs and increase profitability.
Malaysia Airlines’ Director of Operations,
Captain Izham Ismail said, “Sabre has been a long-term provider of
advanced IT software to Malaysia Airlines, and this latest
solution will enable us to achieve our on-time performance goals.
It also allows us to make more informed and faster operational
decisions by eliminating operational inefficiencies as well as
improving our day-to-day operations. It interfaces with our main
operations centre allowing seamless and more automated data
exchanges.”
With the implementation, Malaysia Airlines can
better manage aircraft utilization, flight and maintenance
schedules, on-time performance as well as irregular operations and
disruptions.
It integrates across all critical operational areas
including aircraft monitoring, crew, passenger and cargo movement,
providing the airline’s Operational Control Centre (OCC) a
complete view of all issues and disruptions so employees can
address them quickly.
Kamal Qatato, Vice President, Sabre Airline
Solutions, said, “The implementation of Sabre Movement Manager is a key milestone in
the airline’s journey to becoming a ‘Connected Airline’, where
intuitive systems and workflow drive streamlined communication,
efficiency and operational excellence. Asia is a growth region for
Sabre and we will continue to provide airlines like Malaysia
Airlines with the very latest in mission-critical airline
