Riccardo Giacometti Joins The St. Regis Langkawi as Hotel Manager

Riccardo Giacometti has been appointed as Hotel Manager of The St. Regis Langkawi.

A Swiss national, Riccardo will oversee all management functions and hotel operations at this new property.

Riccardo has a wealth of hospitality industry experience to the position and joins after completing a successful three-year tenure at Le Méridien, Dom Hotel Cologne in Germany, one of Europe’s oldest grand hotels.

Since joining the Starwood Hotels & Resorts family as a Food and Beverage Management Trainee in 2000, Riccardo has gained a wealth of valuable hospitality management experience and key skills. This includes F&B Manager at Sheraton Frankfurt Hotel & Tower, where he was responsible for a 198-strong F&B team, cost and revenue management and executing F&B sales and marketing strategy.

Riccardo also spent four years at the helm of two Luxury Collection properties, the Hotel Bristol and Hotel Imperial in Vienna, initially joining as Executive Assistant Manager before being promoted to Complex Hotel Manager. In the latter role, he was instrumental in achieving improved RevPAR performance consistently and successfully restructuring F&B operations at Hotel Bristol.

Riccardo attended Cornell University where he studied revenue management and received his International Hotel Management Diploma from the Swiss Hotel Management School, SHL in Luzern.

Fluent in German, English, Italian and French, Riccardo has gained a broad range of key management skills through ongoing trainings during his career at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, which includes certification in leadership and interpersonal management skills.
