Delhi is the capital city of Indi, and is said to be one of the oldest existing
cities in the world, estimated to be over 5,000 years old. From
Hindu Kings, Muslim Sultans to the British Raj, Delhi has been the
witness of many cultures over the millennia. Today, it is a modern
city with many heritage monuments and architecture wonders worth
travelling across the globe for.
Other than the
Lotus Temple, The India Gate and The Red Fort, one of the most
notable attractions nearby is the famed Taj Mahal located at the neighbouring city of Agra. A white marble mausoleum built by
Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1632, this
UNESCO World Heritage building is one of the world’s most
celebrated structures.
