Best Western has opened its first hotel in the
Japanese city of Kagoshima.
Located on Kyushu Island, Kagoshima is nicknamed
the Naples of the East due to its scenic bayside location,
overlooked by the Sakurajima volcano.
The 199-room Best Western Rembrandt Hotel
Kagoshima Resort overlooks Kinkoh Bay.
Guests can unwind at the outdoor swimming pool
and jacuzzi, or sample modern Japanese cuisine in the hotel’s
restaurant. For the corporate market, there is also 230m² of
meeting space.
“Japan was the location of Best Western
International’s first hotel in Asia, and I am delighted to be able
to continue our company’s proud history in this exciting country,”
said Ron Pohl, Best Western International’s Senior Vice President
of Brand Management. “With its ideal location, contemporary design
and range of amenities, Best Western Rembrandt Hotel Kagoshima
Resort is another wonderful addition to our extensive portfolio in
Japan.”
With a warm climate and numerous visitor
attractions, including the Kagoshima City Aquarium, Amuran Ferris
Wheel and its stunning volcanic landscape, Kagoshima is a popular
tourist destination. The city is very accessible, with an
international airport and Shinkansen bullet train connections.
