The Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok has been awarded
with Premium Level Certification from the Safehotels Alliance.
The Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok is the first
hotel in Asia Pacific to be certified after Carlson Rezidor signed an
agreement with the globally recognized certification company.
“Being awarded Safehotels Alliance's
certification shows a hotel focuses on key elements of guest
safety, personal property and the right response if there is an
incident or any kind of emergency during a stay,” said Bert van Walbeek, Vice
President of Safehotels Alliance AB. “The certificate also shows the hotel is
sincere and trustworthy in providing for the guest’s wellbeing.
Equally, being independently audited and certified yearly by Safehotels,
strengthens the communication value of security between the guest
and hotel immensely.”
To attain Safehotels' certification according to The Global Hotel
Security Standard a hotel must demonstrate in concept and in practice a thorough commitment to safety and security to protect
its guests, staff and assets.
Peter
Feran, General Manager of the Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok, said, “It is a great honor to attain this type of certification. Our hotel is in a very busy
downtown area, so we can never be too cautious. We take safety and security seriously and we're especially pleased we've not just met
requirements but far exceeded them.”
