Richard Ong Appointed GM of Orchard Hotel Singapore

Mr Richard Ong has been appointed as General Manager of the 656-room Orchard Hotel Singapore.

With over 30 years of local and international hospitality experience, Mr Ong  joined M&C last year in a newly created position of General Manager, Operations, Asia where he focused on driving and optimising operational excellence, improving cost efficiency, and enhancing guest satisfaction for the group’s regional hotels.

During the course of his career, Mr Ong has held several key leadership roles in Singapore, US, Cambodia, Australia, China and Japan with major hotel companies.

He has a wealth of knowledge covering operations, sales & marketing, F&B, hotel renovations and pre-opening of hotels.

“With his experience and excellent track record, and having overseen the regional hotels for the past few months, we are confident that Richard will strengthen Orchard Hotel’s position as one of Singapore’s leading hotels,” said Mr Bhupesh Yadav, Chief Business Administration Officer of M&C.

Singapore-born Richard Ong is bilingual in Mandarin and English.
