Conrad Bali's star performers in food and
beverage preparation will have the chance to compete against the
best Hilton has to offer as part of the Hilton Worldwide's F&B Masters
2015/2016 competition - aimed at recognizing and celebrating
outstanding talent in the culinary arts.
Team members from Conrad Bali will be honing
their skills in making the perfect coffee, pastry, cocktail, wine
selection or dish creation in preparation for the F&B Masters, an
internal competition for Hilton Worldwide team members.
The
competition invites team members from Hilton Worldwide hotels
across Asia Pacific to compete in five categories: Culinary, Bar,
Barista, Sommelier and Pastry.
The F&B Masters is a multi-faceted competition
that provides an opportunity for Hilton Worldwide to showcase and
reward talent, and for staff to develop skills, creativity and
gain real-world experience.
The competition was successfully held in
Southeast Asia in 2014 and, with growing momentum and interest, it
has been extended to the Asia Pacific region this year.
"Conrad Bali is known for its world-class
dining. The F&B Masters focuses on quality and innovation in our
food and beverage offerings which translates to better dining
experiences for all our guests" said the resort's general manager,
Frederic Lebegue.
Among the creative talents representing Conrad
Bali are Mangkudiasa in the Barista category, creator of the
signature "Coffeeto" coffee; and bar-tender Arik Yuliana, who
created the spectacular "Fish Bowl" cocktail. Also going to the
national finals will be: Arta Wijaya, in the Sommelier category;
Artiyasa from Rin Japanese Restaurant in the Culinary category;
and Suyanata in the Pastry category.
Three rounds of finals will be staged - at the
hotel, country and regional level. The competition kicked off in
July 2015 and will culminate in a regional final in February 2016.
Following the hotel-level round, the five successful competitors
from Conrad Bali will compete at the national level, against
representatives from the other Hilton Worldwide properties in
Indonesia. If successful, they will then move on to the regional
championships, which showcase the best food and beverage talents
from properties in Asia Pacific.
"The F&B Masters is about
people development. It gives our team members an opportunity to
develop their skills and creativity in a variety of food and
beverage disciplines that they are passionate about. It is about
recognizing outstanding talent in our team members and
highlighting their skills, passion and creativity. Conrad Bali is
synonymous with high standards of food and beverage and this
competition confirms that," said Mr. Lebegue.
