SpiceJet is to launch direct flights between
Chennai and Bangkok, Thailand.
Flights, which will operate six times per week, will commence
on 10 December 2015. The Bangkok flights will be SpiceJet’s second direct international flight from
Chennai.
To celebrate, SpiceJet is offering an all inclusive
introductory promotional return fare of just Rs. 9,999
(Chennai-Bangkok-Chennai) / THB 5,400 (Bangkok-Chennai-Bangkok)
for a limited period.
SpiceJet will operate the flights to
Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Soraya Homchuen, director, Tourism Authority of
Thailand – Mumbai Office, said, “This is very exciting news for us
especially since it will mean additional seats right when the peak
season is in full momentum. We have seen increasing interest from
the Chennai market and I expect that the added flight and
promotional introductory fare will motivate more Chennaiites to
travel to Thailand.”
TAT is
expecting 1,050,000 travellers from India during 2015.
