Honeywell Aerospace has launched a new online
tool to help airlines better manage maintenance so they can reduce aircraft
downtime and increase operational efficiency.
The Performance Accelerator is an interactive
and customizable catalogue of Honeywell service bulletins and
upgrade options. It is an one-stop resource for airline fleet
management and includes full 3-D renderings of the 20 most widely
used commercial aircraft platforms, with up-to-date information
specific to each aircraft.
Honeywells Performance Accelerator helps
airlines calculate potential fuel, maintenance, operational and
safety cost savings from service bulletin incorporation, as well
as from new modifications and upgrades. The interactive online
tool includes an intuitive search function and a
user-friendly interface so that employees across a variety of
departments, including engineering, maintenance, supply chain and
flight operations can easily navigate the system.
Our
customers told us that they wanted a faster and more efficient
system to find and evaluate service bulletins and upgrades.
Honeywells Performance Accelerator was developed specifically
with those considerations in mind and offers airlines a
personalized user experience, said Kristin Guthrie, vice
president, Customer Experience, Honeywell Aerospace. Its the first of its kind in the industry, and initial feedback during the
pilot program has been positive. The Performance Accelerator is
going to be a great benefit for customers looking for ways to
enhance their fleet.
The Performance Accelerator replaces
the previous index-based system that required users to scroll
through long lists of service bulletins unless they knew the
particular items name or number. The new tool enables users to
see every bulletin associated with a particular aircraft type or
search by maintenance check, Air Transport Association chapter,
mandates, benefit category such as fuel efficiency, and downtime.
