IHG has expanded its Hotel Indigo brand to
Southeast Asia with the opening of Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless
Road.
The 192-room Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road
features vertical gardens, street art style murals depicting the
story of the surrounding area and custom art pieces such as a wall
of wireless radios reflecting the area’s history as the birthplace
of the country’s wireless radio stations.
Oliver Horn, General Manager of Hotel Indigo
Bangkok Wireless Road, said, “Wireless Road is in the heart of the
city and our neighbours include award winning restaurants, art
galleries, parks, shopping malls and cultural landmarks ... Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road gives our
guests the chance to have an authentic experience of this thriving
area and immerse themselves in this exciting neighbourhood, in
addition to having a stylish base to relax and recharge before
another day of exploring.”
The hotel features guest rooms with
spa-inspired bathrooms, locally sourced toiletries, private
balconies and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. The hotel’s open air
infinity edge pool and deck provides views of the ever growing
city.
Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road’s Food & Beverage neighbourhood café, Metro on Wireless, serves
Thai and Western cuisine, while the hotel’s 22 Steps cocktail bar
offers drinks prepared by
mixologists.
Later in the year, the hotel will open its new
signature dining venue, CHAR.
Alan Watts, Chief
Operating Officer AMEA, IHG, said, “Demand for boutique hotels
continues to grow rapidly amongst travellers with an interest in
art, design and local exploration. They are looking for unique and
individual hotel experiences combined with exceptional facilities,
dining and great service. This is exactly what Hotel Indigo
provides - all the style and flair of a boutique hotel with the
reassurance and quality that a leading hotel group can offer.”
The Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road was
designed by HBA/Hirsch Bedner Associates.
