EcoVadis has credited Carlson Wagonlit Travel
(CWT) with recognition for its responsible business practices.
Of the businesses EcoVadis rates worldwide, CWT
is among the top 11% of all companies, moving up this year to a
stronger silver rating.
Françoise Grumberg, CWT’s vice president, Global
Responsible Business, said, “Over the past year, thanks to a
robust global governance, we have put in place a number of
initiatives that have helped us continue to improve our rating.
Moving forward, we aim to further improve our rating to achieve
even higher EcoVadis recognition.”
CWT was assessed through 21 CSR criteria in the
areas of environment, ethics, social and sustainable purchasing
performance and scored high across the board, with an
exceptionally strong performance in fair business practices.
David
McClintock, EcoVadis’ marketing director, said, “We are pleased to
see CWT take their sustainability effort beyond basic compliance
to embracing a performance mindset. They have seen steady progress
in score improvement over the past assessments. Also, their
sub-scores across each of our four themes (environment, fair labor
practices, fair business practices, and supply chain) are all on
the higher end of industry benchmarks which is a great sign. We
congratulate them on their silver rating and look forward to their
continued success.”
