Eurowings, a Lufthansa Group company, will this
week launch flights between Cologne and Phuket, Thailand and next
week launch flights between Cologne and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.
The inaugural flight for Phuket will leave
Cologne on 18 December 2015, while the flights to Suvarnabhumi
will take off on 21 December 2015.
Eurowings will operate both routes with Airbus
A330 aircraft.
“We are very pleased to be introducing the low
cost long-haul concept to Thailand this December. The Eurowings
strategy is to strengthen our position in point-to-point traffic
and offers affordable ticket prices and attractive route network,”
said Mr. Christian Hein, Eurowings Senior Vice President, Sales.
“Other than offering attractive fares, we are also
providing high quality inflight products to our customers. The
Airbus A330 on this route is fitted with three travel classes,
including the latest Premium Economy class.”
The Eurowings flights from Bangkok to
Cologne/Bonn will depart at 06:25 every Monday and 09:20 every
Thursday and will take a total of twelve hours and forty-five
minutes.
The airline's flights from Phuket will take off at 14:05 every Tuesday and 06:35 every Saturday and will last a total
of thirteen hours.
Eurowings fares are broken down into Best, Smart and Basic.
The Best fare includes seating in an
extra-wide seat with lots of leg-room in the exclusive forward
cabin area. The Best fare also includes two free items of luggage
each of up to 23 kg, à la carte menus on board, priority check-in,
lounge access and the chance to collect miles (including HON
Circle miles).
The cheaper Smart fare includes
extra services such as one piece of luggage of up to 23 kg, two
meals and soft drinks on board, as well as the chance to collect
miles.
The Basic fare offers a straightforward travel experience
at a reasonable price, to which further services can be added on
an individual basis.
One-way tickets between Phuket – Cologne start from THB 8,729 (Basic), THB 10,980
(Smart) and THB 19,599 (Best).
