Plateno Signs 102-Room Portofino Resort in Sri Lanka

Plateno has signed a 102-room resort in Sri Lanka.

The property, to be branded as Portofino Ming Gee Resort Passikuda, is nestled in the centre of Pasikuda Bay on an untouched stretch of white sandy beach.

The resort features one of the largest swimming pools in Passikuda as well as two restaurant and bars, a spa and fully equipped water sports and dive centre.

Known to have one of the longest stretches of shallow coastline in the world, the coastal community of Passikudah is about 35km Northwest of Batticaloa. The resort is about five hours away from Colombo by road.

The resort will open in November 2015 and is the second Portofino Hotel in Sri Lanka for Plateno.
