Red Planet Opens Surawong Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand

Red Planet Hotels has expanded its portfolio of value hotels in the region with the opening of the 201-room Red Planet Surawong hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

Red Planet Surawong is a 10-minute walk from the Bangkok Transit System (Skytrain) Chong Nonsi and Sala Daeng stations, and a 15-minute walk from Mass Rapid Transport (Subway) Silom Station.

All rooms at the Red Planet Surawong feature free high-speed Wi-Fi on unlimited devices, a power shower, quality custom-made beds with upscale linen and many other features including air conditioning, a workstation with a desk, an in-room safe, hair dryer, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities, and a 40-inch flat screen TV.

The hotel also has two wheelchair accessible rooms, and a car park.

"We always offer a clean and well-serviced stay and have developed a 'best in class' product for the value sector in Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Japan," said Red Planet Hotels Chief Executive Officer, Tim Hansing. "Over 70% of our guests are under 30 years old and require a different experience from the usual stuffy and boring hotels. Half of our brand experience is online. We have found that the innovative In-Stay Mode of our app is particularly popular and transforms the experience of staying in our hotels."

The Red Planet Surawong, Bangkok hotel is the group's 26th hotel in Asia and 5th in Thailand.

Red Planet also owns ten hotels in the Philippines, seven in Indonesia, and four in Japan.
