Plateno’s Zmax Hotel Brand to Open in Colombo, Sri Lanka

Fairway Holdings’ new 181-room midscale hotel in Colombo’s city centre will be branded as the Zmax Fairway Colombo and managed by Plateno Hotels Group with the opening planned for March 2016.

Zmax Fairway Colombo, located just 30 minutes from Colombo International Airport, will be the centerpiece of an integrated mixed use complex located directly behind the Dutch Hospital Complex which will also include shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues including a roof top Zolo Club, a Zmax branded outlet.

“We are very proud to be working with one of Sri Lanka’s premier developers to manage this landmark hotel in the center of Colombo which fills in a key place in our growing domestic network in Sri Lanka and our presence in key capital cities in Asia,” said Kevin Wallace, Managing Director, Plateno Hotels Group Australasia.

The Zmax Fairway Colombo will be Plateno’s second hotel in Sri Lanka, the first being the Portofino Resort Tangalle.
