Luxair, the national airline of the Grand Duchy
of Luxembourg, has signed a firm purchase agreement with
Bombardier for three Q400 NextGen aircraft and options on an
additional two Q400 NextGen aircraft.
Based on the list price of the Q400 NextGen
aircraft, the firm order is valued at approximately US$100.3
million and could increase to US$169.5 million should Luxair
exercise all its options.

fleet with the newest, most modern turboprops that are providing
maximum flexibility to our business clients; and quality travel at
affordable prices to our leisure customers,” said Adrien Ney,
President and Chief Executive Officer, Luxair. “The addition of
more Q400 NextGen aircraft - with their excellent economics,
environmental credentials and passenger comfort - is an ideal
solution as we open more regional routes and expand frequencies.”
Optimized for
short-haul operations, the Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft
is capable of seating up to 86 passengers.
