Thai Airways International has decided to postpone
its planned
suspension of flight operations between Bangkok and Rome until
February 2016.
The airline had originally planned to suspend
the Bangkok – Rome route from 26 October 2015.
Thai Airways will now
cooperate with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to jointly
promote travel on the route which it will operate four times per week with Boeing 747-400
aircraft on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The airline said that, "route suspensions are only temporary, whereby resumption of
service may be reconsidered once the company has progressed with
its transformation plan and is confident that it can compete well
on the route concerned".
