Starwood Hotels & Resorts has partnered Greek
airline, Aegean to bring a selection of benefits to their loyalty
programs – Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) and Miles+Bonus.
SPG members can now convert their Starpoints
into Aegean Miles+Bonus award miles. In addition, SPG members will
be given an extra 5,000 miles for every 20,000 Starpoints
converted to Aegean Miles+Bonus award miles.
“Our new partnership with Aegean will allow us to reward
our loyal SPG members and cultivate even greater loyalty with travellers,” said Robert Koren, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Vice
President, Regional Director Southern Europe. “Greece, Germany, the US and the UK are key markets for us and we look forward to
introducing Aegean’s Miles+Bonus members to our world-renowned
Starwood Preferred Guest program.”
Starwood has 11 properties in Greece under The
Luxury Collection, Westin and Sheraton brands.
Aegean, a Star Alliance member, is the largest Greek airline,
expected to expand to 149 destinations in 45 countries in 2016.
In order to earn award
miles when staying at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Aegean
