Amadeus has signed a distribution agreement with
Singapore’s Tigerair.
With Amadeus, Tigerair can now distribute
its full range of fares and content via an extensive network of
travel agencies in Asia Pacific that can make bookings
using a web-like interface.
Alexander Knigge, Group Chief Commercial Officer
of Tigerair, said, “The travel agency community is a vital
piece towards Tigerair fulfilling our commitment in providing more
customers with even more new travel experiences at very affordable
fares. We look forward to serving up our extensive and diverse
travel destinations to more customers across the region.”
Through the agreement, Amadeus
travel agencies will also be able to book Tigerair ancillary sales
including advance boarding, seat selection, luggage and other
passenger amenities.
Established in 2004, Tigerair offers flights to over 50
destinations across 13 countries in the Asia Pacific region.
Tigerair comprises four airlines: Tigerair Singapore, Tigerair
Mandala (Indonesia), Tigerair Philippines and Tigerair Australia,
which are all now available via Amadeus.
