Whitbread’s popular Premier Inn hotel brand is
aiming to have 10 hotels with 1,452 rooms developed in Indonesia
by the end of 2016.
Premier Inn’s first openings are planned to open
in
2015 in Bali, Jimbaran and Yogyakarta, two of Indonesia’s most
frequented destinations.
The hotels will feature rooftop pools, a
restaurant, meeting facilities, high speed Wi-Fi and a quality
bedding in the rooms.
In addition to Bali, Jimbaran and Yogyakarta, Premier Inn
already has plans for additional properties in Bali in Denpasar
and Benoa.
Erik van Keulen, Senior Vice President
Development, Premier Inn Asia Pacific, said,
“Besides Bali and Yogyakarta, we have firm plans for further
Premier Inn hotels in Makassar, Surabaya, Bogor, Samarinda as well
as two hotels in Jakarta. Indonesia represents a phenomenal
opportunity for Premier Inn and will have the largest number of
Premier Inns amongst the Southeast Asian countries.”
Indonesia, according to Erik, is one of Premier Inn’s key
growth markets. “With a fast growing midscale market and ever
increasing visitor and traveller numbers, both domestic and
overseas, we have aggressive plans for the country,” he said.
