ANA’s low cost airline Vanilla Air, is to launch
flights between Hong Kong and Tokyo (Narita) on 2 November 2014.
Vanilla Air will operate the route with Airbus
A320 aircraft in a one-class 180-seat configuration. The airline
will fly between Hong Kong and Tokyo three times per week on
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays until 31 January 2015.
From 1 February the airline will increase the
frequency of the route to daily, and then twice daily from 21
February 2015.
“The name of Vanilla Air was inspired by
the sophisticated and fresh flavor of Vanilla popular in the
world. I would like Vanilla Air to become the airline company as
widely loved as vanilla and to continue to provide passengers with
safe and comfortable services,” said Mr. Tomonori ISHII, President
of Vanilla Air.
From Tokyo (Narita), Vanilla Air currently
operates two international routes, namely Taipei (Taoyuan) and
Seoul (Incheon); and three domestic routes to Sapporo, Okinawa and
Amami Oshima.
To celebrate the new route, Vanilla Air is
offering special fares of just HK$88 for a one way ticket
(excluding tax). Ticket sales for this promotion will take place
on Vanilla Air’s official website from 1pm to 5pm (Hong Kong time) on 31 October 2014 (Friday). Tickets are subject to
availability, and terms and conditions apply.
