The Salinda Premium Resort and Spa on Vietnam's
scenic Phu Quoc Island has joined Worldhotels.
Known as Pearl
Island for its local pearl farming industry, Phu Quoc was singled
out by ABC News as having
the "cleanest and most beautiful beaches in the world", and
National Geographic placed the island third on its list of the
world's top 15 vacation destinations for Winter 2014/15.
The 122-room resort is located only 10 minutes from the new Phu Quoc
International Airport and offers guests numerous activities from snorkelling, diving, water and jet
skiing to deep-sea fishing expeditions. The Salinda Spa
offers a wide range of options to help guests relax, rejuvenate, energise, hydrate or detoxifying. The resort is
also equipped with an open-kitchen restaurant
to showcase local and international cuisines.
Outside the
resort, fascinating discoveries include the lush tropical jungles
of Phu Quoc National Park, covering about 50% of the island;
insights into pearl cultivation at numerous pearl farms; tours and
tastings at traditional fish sauce factories renowned for
producing some of the best fish sauce in Asia; and the ancient Ham
Ninh Fishing Village for a taste of the island's exotic local
culture and the freshest of seafood. Another favourite attraction is
Hon Thom Island, one of numerous close-by islands that is a favourite spot for fishing, snorkelling and diving.
Salinda’s addition brings
the total number of Vietnamese properties in the Worldhotels
network to five, of which the four others comprise Amiana Resort,
Nha Trang; Caravelle Hotel, Ho Chi Minh; Furama Resort
Danang; and Lotte Hotel Hanoi.
"The opening of our new resort and spa on October 15th was the
culmination of years of planning and development," added Jeevan
Thomas, Resort Manager of Salinda Premium Resort and Spa. "Travellers from
around the world will discover the full beauty of Phu Quoc at our
property, along with the warmth of genuine Vietnamese
hospitality."
