Costa Crociere Appoints Neil Palomba as SVP Hotel Operations & Guest Experience

Costa Crociere has appointed Neil Palomba to the newly created position of Senior Vice President Hotel Operations & Guest Experience, reporting directly to Michael Thamm, CEO of Costa Crociere S.p.A..

In this position Neil Palomba will oversee and develop Hotel Operations and Guest Service for the Costa fleet.

“With his ability and his extensive international experience in the industry, Neil will contribute substantially to our executive team” commented Costa Crociere S.p.A. CEO Michael Thamm. “ Neil’s main responsibilities will be to take Costa forward, to strive for continuous improvement through operational excellence and to make our Guests' experience on board an unforgettable holiday.”

Neil has gained tremendous experience in the cruise industry starting in 1996 with MSC Cruises covering different on-board positions and becoming project manager of the new builds department in 2001, in charge of coordinating all the departments involved in the new shipbuilding projects. In 2006 Neil was appointed Chief Operating Officer of MSC Sales and Marketing office based in Fort Lauderdale, overseeing USA, Canada, Caribbean and Mexico. In 2010 he was appointed Corporate Operating Officer based in Geneva, with the strategic goal of optimizing profit by establishing performance parameters and developing new destinations including supervision of the entire South Africa operation.
