The Cosmo Hotel in Hong Kong has launched what
it calls a "Green Floor".
All the guestrooms located on the Green
Floor are equipped with a set of Tarocco skin care and hair care
products, a natural range of products rich in Vitamin C and
Antioxidants with the presence of Italian olive oil and extracts
of Sicilian blood oranges.
Welcoming guests to the room is the
natural scent of Jurlique aromatherapy essential oil. There are
four types of fragrances that guests can choose from, each with a
specific function to help balance, calm or uplift the mind, body
and spirit.
Each Green Room is also made greener and
healthier with a leafy houseplant embellishing the interior while
handpicked organic teabags are replenished daily to ensure guests
have a refreshing start to the day.
Guests can also choose from more
than 11 types of pillows featuring natural buckwheat, wheat fiber,
lavender scented, to name but a few. There is also a complimentary Water Bar
in every Green Room, featuring four types of bottled water.
To celebrate the launch of its Green Floor and
Rooms, guests can now enjoy up to 28% discount when they book through
the hotel's website.
Booking through the hotel website ensures
that guests also receive free in-room WiFi
and complimentary use of smart phone with free 3G internet and
personal hotspot for multi-device connectivity, unlimited local
calls and IDD calls to US, UK, Australia, Singapore and China.
Guests even get to pick their favourite colour of acridine
orange, modo-green or pastel yellow for their room when placing
the booking.
Guests are required to enter “GREEN” in the
comment box on the last step of completing the booking on hotel
website and room is subjected to availability. Terms and
conditions apply.
“Our green measures will not be as successful
without the cooperation from our guests. The introduction of green
floor is really a win-win-win approach for the guest, environment
and hotel staff. Our guests get to enjoy a superior quality
accommodation; the reduced carbon footprint means a cleaner
environment while the hotel staff gets to work more efficiently in
a smoke-free and refreshing environment, ” said Ms. Anita Chan,
the General Manager of Cosmo Hotel Hong Kong. “If the feedback from our guests is
encouraging, we will definitely consider converting more guest
floors into green floors to benefit more like-minded guests, even
though that would incur higher maintenance cost for the hotel. Our
aim is to continuously inspire one and another to love our globe
and to collectively contribute to the environment and local
community for the sake of a better tomorrow.”
