Starwood Opens 263-Room Westin Zhujiajian Resort, Zhoushan

Starwood has expanded its portfolio of hotels in China with the opening of the Westin Zhujiajian Resort, Zhoushan, the Westin brands debut in the city of Zhoushan in the Zhejiang province of China.

The beachfront resort features 263 guest rooms and villas, different dining options and leisure facilities, and all the Westin brands signature amenities and services.

Set between lush green forests and the East China Sea, the Westin Zhujiajian Resort, Zhoushan is just steps away from a white sandy beach. Zhujiajian is the fifth largest island among the 1,390 islands in Zhoushan.

The Zhoushan Putuoshan airport as well as several leading attractions such as Putuoshan and the Shenjiamen Fishing Port are within a short drive from the resort.

All 263 guest rooms, including 12 villas, provide a retreat from the bustle of the city and are outfitted with the Westin Heavenly Bed featuring lush sheets, down cushioning and a patented pillow-top mattress, which cradles and contours to the body for complete comfort.

Other in-room amenities include a refreshment center, work desk with ergonomic chair, spacious bathroom, in-room safe and gourmet coffee.

The resorts all-day restaurant, Seasonal Tastes features an imaginative menu, while the Chinese restaurant, Five Sen5es provides an ideal setting for celebrations with loved ones and business associates, as well as CHOKO which is a separate, peaceful dining area for guests to enjoy vegetarian cuisine. At The Lobby Lounge, guests can indulge in a cocktail, a freshly brewed coffee or a cup of Westin Jing Tea in front of beautiful sea views. In-room dining is also available 24 hours a day.

Resort facilities provide both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, including a wave pool, as well as a fitness studio, complete with free weights and cardio equipment. In partnership with New Balance, guests can also borrow workout clothing and shoes during their stay so they can pack light and stay fit.

The signature Heavenly Spa at the Westin Zhujiajian Resort, Zhoushan offers an extensive range of therapies and treatments that reflect the local culture and history of the region, including mineral mud baths and heated, hot stone massages.

The resort also features a Westin Kids Club with supervised activities, including local storytelling and nature walks.

The resort boasts more than 37,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space, including nine individual meeting rooms and a large pre-function area. In addition, the resort will soon offer Tangent, the Westin brands workspace concept for small groups, designed to support todays mobile traveler.
