Etihad Airways has opened an unique art
exhibition showcasing lithographs from The Marina Picasso Legacy
Collection in its premium lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle
Airport.
The lithographs come from the acclaimed collection of
Pablo Picasso’s granddaughter, Marina Picasso.
The Picasso lithographs were created from
original paintings inherited by Marina Picasso from her
grandfather’s estate and include a selection of the artist’s most
treasured works, recreated by Master Chromist, Marcel Salinas, who
worked closely with Picasso during his lifetime.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ Chief
Commercial Officer, said, “Having work by the most celebrated
Cubist artist of all time displayed in our Paris lounge will help
define the Etihad Airways journey for our guests departing this
great city. The Picasso lithographs embody the remarkable and
influential artistic culture of Europe and are part of our mission
to lift the guest experience to new heights of innovation and
sophistication.”
The exhibition features six of Marina Picasso’s
limited edition lithographs, which are available for guests to
purchase.
Previous works displayed in the airline’s Paris
lounge included bronze Salvador Dali sculptures and lithographs
from the Espace Dali in Paris.
The Picasso and Dali exhibits are the result of
a partnership between Etihad Airways and the distinguished French
art curator, Bertrand Epaud.
