FRHI Hotels & Resorts, the operator of Raffles
Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Swisstel Hotels &
Resorts, has made the following management-level appointments at
its properties and locations worldwide:
Swisstel Dresden Am Schloss has appointed Kevin
Furrer as general manager. Furrer began his career with Swisstel
ten years ago at Le Plaza, Basel, Switzerland and later relocated
to Swisstel Berlin, Germany as director of operations. Most
recently, Furrer held the position of general manager of Swisstel
Resort Phuket, Thailand.
Swisstel Resort Phuket has appointed Jeff Ross
as general manager. Ross joined the company in 2010 as director of
operations and was later named hotel manager at Swisstel the
Stamford Singapore. Prior to joining the company, Ross was with
Starwood Hotels & Resorts where he held progressive positions from
food and beverage manager to hotel manager.
Serge Ethuin joins as general manager at the
luxurious Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris. With 25 years of
experience, Ethuin brings a wealth of knowledge of the hotel and
luxury sectors, having spent more than 17 years of his career
managing luxury properties. Ethuin joins the company from Rome
Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts in Italy.
Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris has appointed
Elodie Lacroix as director, sales and marketing. In this role,
Lacroix will ensure development of business and continuation of
hotel positioning. Lacroix hails from a rich background of sales
positions at several luxury hospitality brands. Most recently,
Lacroix held the position of director of global sales, France and
Benelux for Jumeirah Group in London.
With its stunning views of Clearwater Bay,
Raffles Hainan welcomes Tim Xue to the position of director, sales
and marketing. Xue joins Raffles Hainan with more than 15 years of
experience. Since 2006 he has held director roles within the sales
and marketing discipline at a variety of hotel brands in Shanghai.
Most recently, Xue held the position of director of sales and
marketing of Dalian New World Hotel.
Swisstel Ankarain Turkey welcomes Zeynep
Kayralci as director of sales and marketing. Kayralci brings with
her a wealth of expertise and has over 25 years of hospitality
experience. Kayralci started her career with the Sheraton Istanbul
Hotel & Towers, Turkey where she held various roles before moving
onto to Hilton International. In her most recent position Kayralci
opened the Mvenpick Hotel Ankara, Turkey in the capacity as
director of sales and marketing.
Swisstel Le Plaza, Basel has appointed Patrick
Grossmann as director of sales. In this new role, Grossmanns
leadership and vision will foster an engaged team in support of
maximized market share, operating results and guest satisfaction.
Grossmann brings 15 years of hospitality experience to this
position. Grossmann has worked at several global hotel brands and
joined the company in 2013 as a senior sales manager.
Set in the breathtaking island of Bermuda,
Fairmont Hamilton Princess welcomes Andrew Morrison as executive
chef. Morrison will be responsible for leading the culinary team
at an exciting time in the hotels history and will be
instrumental in overseeing the operations of two new restaurants
of this historic property. Morrison joins the company with a
wealth of culinary experience in leading culinary teams in Five
Star and Five Diamond hotels.
Fairmont Nanjing has appointed Edward Mair as
executive chef. Mair brings close to 15 years of culinary
experience, beginning in Scotland. Mair has worked all over the
world, including the Middle East at the Westin Dubai and has been
instrumental in several re-brandings throughout his career. Prior
to joining Fairmont in early 2014 as sous-chef, Fairmont Nanjing,
Mair held the position as executive chef at The Westin Haikou.
Avinash Mohan has been promoted to group
executive chef, Kenya. Mohans new role will include overseeing
the culinary department at Fairmont The Norfolk while also
supervising culinary operations at Fairmont Mara Safari Club and
Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. Mohan brings over 13 years of
hospitality experience to this position and has worked in culinary
roles at hotel properties in Asia and Europe. Prior to joining
Fairmont, Mohan worked for The Leela Palace Hotel in Chennai,
India as an executive sous chef.
The newest addition to the culinary scene at
Estonias spectacular Swisstel Tallinn is Frederic Boucault, who
has been named executive chef. In this capacity, Boucaults main
responsibility is to manage all hotel kitchen teams, including the
a la carte Restaurant Horisont, conference & banqueting, Caf
Swiss, and Lobby Bar No.3. Boucault gained hisculinary experience
working in different parts of the world, including Russia, Angola,
Bulgaria, Switzerland and France. Boucault arrives from the
Mongolia Terelji hotel.
