AirAsia will launch twice daily flights from
Don Mueang to Nan, Loei and Roi-Et, on 9 February 2015.
Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia,
said that the Thai domestic market still has potential for
continued growth as can be seen in AirAsia's ability to add
instantly popular destinations over the past 2 years, major
examples being Chiang Mai and Phuket as well as other regional
connections.
The 3 new routes from Don Mueang all represent unique destinations with great
tourism potential. Nan is already an up and coming province due to its charm and
unique culture, Loei is home to numerous natural resources and Roi-Et known for its excellent food and intricate temples.
"AirAsia has received stellar support from the
Tourism Authority of Thailand and many other agencies towards the
launch of these 3 routes in the north and northeast, namely; Nan,
Loei and Roi-Et, and believes they will create new opportunities
for travelers as well for investment. Having all 3 flights be
available twice a day in the morning and evening will facilitate
the business segment," said Mr. Tassapon.
All AirAsia flights are serviced by Airbus A320
aircraft.
