Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur has launched
an interactive photography and accommodation package in
partnership with Leica.
The Cultural Photography Journey II will allow
guests to capture the sights of Kuala Lumpur in an exclusive
chauffeur-driven excursion with a professional photographer from
Leica Store Malaysia, who will demonstrate his skill and share
tips in photography.
The journey encompasses some of the city’s
cultural and iconic sites, including the iconic Petronas Twin
Towers, Merdeka Square - where the
Malayan flag were hoisted for the first time, Kuala Lumpur City
Gallery which is located in a 116-year-old historical building,
the National Textile Museum that showcases the origins and techniques
of local textiles, Sultan Abdul Samad building which was built in
1894 were used to house the superior courts of the country, the
beautiful architecture of The National Mosque and Jadi Batek
Centre, one of Malaysia’s most prestigious handicraft centres.
Guests can gain valuable experience in the skills of
photography in terms of colour, composition, lighting, texture,
patterns and contrasts, and will be able to ‘take home’ a piece of
Kuala Lumpur in the form of photographic memories.
Other
photographic opportunities for guests to explore include views
from the sky bridge that connects the iconic 88-storey twin
towers, or an evening stroll through the tree-lined paths and flowering gardens of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre Park, or the
nightly entertainment of the KLCC Lake Symphony Fountain at the
Esplanade KLCC at 8, 9 and 10pm.
Priced at MYR 1,875++ for
two consecutive nights’ stay, the package includes:
- Daily
breakfast for two at Mosaic; - Complimentary room upgrade to a
Premium City View Room or Deluxe Park View Room; - Personal
photography excursion with Leica Store Malaysia for two from 9am
to 1pm; and - Chauffeur driven by a personal guide in a luxury MPV.
Children above 12 years of age will be charged at MYR 419++
per child including extra bed and all package benefits. Specialist
photography tips and advice are included, but guests will need to
bring their own camera equipment. This offer is subject to 10%
service charge and 6% government tax. The offer is valid through
