HECANSA (Hotel Schools of the Canary Islands
S.A.) - a company dependent on the Government of the Canary
Islands (Board of Tourism) - has signed a partnership agreement
with eRevMax to bring new online distribution technologies to the
Canaries.
HECANSA will utilize RateTiger Suite at its two
hotel schools to further the students’ education in distribution and
revenue management fields.
RateTiger Suite is an integrated solution
to manage third party sales updates, benchmark competitor room
rates and manage reservations through two-way XML connectivity. It
helps hotels improve sales through real-time ARI updates and
leverage rate movements as per demand scenario.
“Being aware of this new source of employment,
Revenue Management, acknowledged by the National Public Employment
Service, HECANSA signs the present agreement for the utilization
of the product RateTiger Suite with the purpose of giving an
answer to the new necessities and improvement of the
competitiveness of the Canary Islands’ tourist sector. On the
other hand, this product will serve as a mechanism for labour
market integration to our students,” said Ricardo Fernández
de la Puente Armas, Deputy Minister of Tourism for Canary Islands.
Cristina Hernández, Director of Sales - Spain &
Portugal, eRevMax, added, “We are very pleased to partner with
HECANSA – this is an important step in our efforts to educate
future hoteliers and revenue managers through new technology
concepts and tools. Hotel online distribution continues to evolve
and with new variety of channels emerging everyday – students need
to be future-ready. We aim to guide them through this learning
phase to provide them with strong foundation in pricing theories
and distribution strategies.”
The students of HECANSA Hotel
Management Program will receive training on how to use the
RateTiger software as well as the art of maximizing online revenue
