AirAsia X is to increase its current Kuala Lumpur to Seoul (Incheon) flights from 7 per week, to 11 per week, effective 2 July 2014.

The airline will then commence double daily services from Kuala Lumpur to Seoul (Incheon) from 2 December 2014 onwards.

To celebrate the increase, AirAsia X is offering fares from MYR269 (KRW129,000) in Economy Class and MYR699 (KRW399,000) in Premium Class to Korea (Seoul, Busan) for online bookings from 20 January 2014 to 2 February 2014, for between 5 May 2014 and 30 September 2014.

Fly thru fares are available to destinations such as Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and India from Korea (Seoul/Busan) with fares from KRW165,900.

Azran Osman-Rani, CEO of AirAsia X said, “Overall, the airline has carried over half a million passengers to and from its Korean routes since it began operations in Korea in 2010. Korea contributes over 8% of the airline’s total revenue, with an average of 83% passenger load in 2013 ... AirAsia X will remain committed to Korea this year as it is one of our core markets in the Asia Pacific region. Our expansion plans will materialise further when we establish our hub in Thailand, receive six more aircraft and move into the new KLIA2 airport this year.”

Apart from Seoul (Incheon), AirAsia X currently flies from KL to Busan four times a week.
