Coral Beach Resort Sharjah is undergoing an AED
15 million three-phase refurbishment which will enhance the entire
property and take up to 16 weeks to complete.
The hotel is going through a complete
overhaul with the revamp of guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors,
lobby, hotel entrance, banquet halls, swimming pool, kids club,
tennis court, landscape, main kitchen, stores, etc.
Laurent A. Voivenel, CEO, HMH - Hospitality
Management Holdings said, "The Coral Beach Resort Sharjah is a
fantastic property and has established a solid reputation of being
one of the finest and most popular resorts in the city. The
investment was necessary as the hotel was beginning to look tired.
With the completion of this project, we will be in a stronger
position than ever to step up to the challenge against some of the
city's upcoming competition and attract new business while
retaining our loyal accounts."
Coral Beach Resort Sharjah will remain open
throughout the refurbishment and will continue to operate on a
reduced scale. Work kicked off about three weeks back and is
progressing well. The revamp will not impact the operation.
Laurent assured, "All care is being taken to make sure there will
be no inconvenience or disturbance to our guests during the
upgrade. We don't want to disrupt the experience for the customers
who booked with us during this time. Therefore, during the period
only four floors will be operational."
The Coral Beach Resort Sharjah features 156 rooms, many with panoramic sea-view. A major attraction
is the wide repertoire of dining options with menus to cater to
every taste. The resort is located on one of the emirate’s nicest beaches and features a range of leisure activities for
all ages, including the Rimal Club, state-of-the-art fitness
centre, children’s pool, indoor playroom and complimentary Kid’s
Club as well as tennis (by Clark Francis Tennis Academy),
badminton, volleyball and two outdoor swimming pools.
"It is not a question of putting
band aids by simply replacing the mattresses, changing carpets or
applying a fresh coat of pain. The idea is to preserve the
resort's spirit while upgrading full range of front and
back-of-the house facilities and equipment to improve the guest
experience. We are looking at an exciting new design with more
contemporary colour palette that will refresh and revitalize the
guest rooms and public areas. Technology and productivity are
central to the design and will radically improve the quality of
the facilities. A major highlight will be restoration of the
hotel's lobby that will be completely reconfigured and
redesigned," added Laurent.
