British Airways is treating its Club World
business class passengers in Hong Kong to a complimentary one-way
upgrade to its First class cabin on one sector of their long-haul
flight to London, the UK and Europe.
The limited offer is
available for booking until 4 November 2014 and is valid for
travel from 20 October 2014 to 31 March 2015.
Club World return fares start from HK$43,890.
“We wanted to reward our loyal premium customers
with the opportunity to experience the unprecedented level of
comfort and service our First class cabin has to offer, at the
price of business class fares,” said Tracy Dedman, British Airways
regional general manager, Greater China and the Philippines. “The
long travel window allows our customers to enjoy the wonderful
autumn period in the UK or enjoy the magic of wintertime in the
UK.”
Each individual suite in the First
cabin features a 6ft 6", a personal
wardrobe and a 15" inflight entertainment screen. Taking
inspiration from the private jet industry, each First customer
has their own personal electronic window blind, to enhance
their ownership of the space and control the amount of light
flooding into their suite. A Turndown Service is offered by cabin crew
who will lay out a 200-thread count Egyptian cotton mattress
accompanied by a 400-thread count duvet and pillow.
Customers can also freshen up at any time with
the range of premium skincare products in the new First amenity
kit developed by Aromatherapy Associates and The Refinery.
British Airways is the only airline to fly the
Airbus A380 non-stop between Hong Kong and London, with all
flights landing at British Airways’ home at London Heathrow,
Terminal 5.
All premium customers can enjoy the facilities at the
Arrivals lounge, which includes showers, breakfast and
complimentary Elemis spa treatments. Customers can also enjoy
bubbling champagne at the exclusive Galleries Club lounges on
their departure.
