Vietjet has launched its seventh international
route with flights from Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) to Taipei (Taiwan).
The Ho Chi Minh – Taipei route will initially
operate five round trips per week with a flight duration of three
hours and 25 minutes per section.
Vietjet will depart from Tan Son Nhat
International Airport at 14:30 and arrive at Taoyuan International Airport at 18:55.
The return
flight will take off from Taipei at 20:00 and arrive in Ho Chi
Minh at 22:25.
“This new flight route aims to bring the two
countries closer. With a large Taiwanese community in Vietnam and
a growing Vietnamese population in Taiwan, we hope to connect
families and friends, while developing trade and tourism growth
between the two countries at the same time. We would like to
encourage more Taiwanese enterprises, businessmen and tourists
from Taiwan to Vietnam. Through flying with Vietjet, they will be
able to discover and experience our safe and modern aircraft with
easy check-in and amazing in-flight services,” said Mr Desmond
Lin, Business Development Director at Vietjet.
The airline also has plans to further expand
its flight network by adding flights from Ho
Chi Minh and Hanoi to other destinations within Taiwan, such as
Kaohsiung and Taichung.
