Kazakhstans flag carrier, Air Astana, will
commence summer season charter flights from Almaty and Astana to
popular holiday destinations in Southern Europe in June 2014.
New seasonal charter routes include Astana
to Rhodes, Almaty to Heraklion and Almaty to Barcelona.
Previous operational restrictions imposed
on Air Astana by the European Union were lifted last month, which
has cleared the way for the airline to start charter operations to
additional European destinations.
The flights to Rhodes will be operated by Airbus 320 and
flights to Heraklion and Barcelona will be served by Boeing
757-200, as well as Boeing 767-300ER at peak times.
The first
flights to respective locations will be operated on 14, 20 and
21 June, with 10-day rotations.
Tickets can be purchased directly from
travel agencies.
In addition to 2014 summer season
charter flights, Air Astana will launch new scheduled services to
Paris and Prague in 2015.
