Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts has signed an
agreement with Suining Rex Horizon to manage a Dusit Thani Hotel
and a dusitD2 Hotel in Suining, Sichuan Province.
Suining Rex Horizon Sdn Bhd is wholly owned by
Rex Horizon Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian company.
Situated
between the cities of Chengdu and Chongqing, the city of Suining
has a long history dating back 1,600 years. Temples from the Sui
and Tang Dynasties are scattered throughout the city and its famed
Celadon Museum holds more than 10,000 pieces of historic ceramics.
Currently, the city serves as the transport hub of Sichuan
Province. Nine expressways pass through the city and seven
railways link to 21 main cities, as well as hundreds of
significant developing cities.
Scheduled to open in 2017,
the two hotels will be the first internationally branded hotels in
Suining. They will be located within the Jiankun City project,
currently being developed into the largest logistics, commercial
and MICE destination in Sichuan Province.
The hotels will be next
to the project’s 40,000 square metre exhibition centre and within
easy reach of the international airports of Chengdu and Chongqing,
only 90 minutes away by car.
The Dusit Thani Hotel
Suining will offer 370 guest rooms and suites as well as a
conference centre.
A Devarana Spa, with its Thai-inspired
treatment rooms will provide guests with a full range of wellness
programs. Dining outlets will include a Chinese restaurant
featuring authentic Sichuan cuisine, an all-day dining restaurant
as well as a rooftop bar with a 360° panoramic view of the city.
Recreational facilities planned include a gymnasium, swimming pool
and bowling alley.
The dusitD2 Hotel Suining will offer 268 guest
rooms, state of the art meeting rooms and a number of dining
facilities.

field, we believe that Dusit, an Asian chain, can do very well
here by offering a different approach to hospitality.”
