The new service which will start from 11 August 2014, will operate using a Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, featuring Garuda Indonesia’s upgraded on-board services.

“Malaysia is an important market for Garuda and we are constantly looking to improve our flight offerings to provide both business and leisure travellers with more choice and convenience. Our three flight times throughout the day will ensure scheduling flexibility, enabling more efficient connections for our travellers,” said Sentot Mujiono, Vice President, Southeast Asia, Garuda Indonesia.

Connecting via Jakarta, Garuda Indonesia connects passengers from Kuala Lumpur to Australia, Japan, Korea, China, North America and Europe. Through a codeshare partnership with Delta Air Lines starting August, Garuda Indonesia will expand its network to service passengers between Tokyo (Haneda) International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport expanding the options available for travel between US and Indonesia.

The airline recently launched the first ever non-stop flight between Jakarta and Amsterdam which will be connected to its new London Gatwick service starting in September 2014 (Jakarta – Amsterdam – London).

The airline will also move to its new office at the Intermark Mall in Kuala Lumpur from 24 June.
