Singapore Airlines customers travelling to and
from Beijing will soon be able to enjoy the luxury and comfort of
the world’s largest aircraft, the
Airbus A380.
From 1 August 2014, the A380 will be deployed on
flight SQ802, departing Singapore at 08:30 and arriving in Beijing
at 14:40.
The return flight SQ807 will depart Beijing at
16:35, arriving in Singapore at 22:55.
The 471-seat A380 will replace two flights which
are operated with smaller aircraft, and Beijing Capital
International Airport will be served three times per day.
Singapore Airlines and regional arm SilkAir
together serve 11 Chinese cities, with 120 weekly flights.
Singapore Airlines also operates 49 weekly flights to Hong Kong.
The A380 has proven exceptionally popular with
customers since its inaugural flight in 2007. Beijing will be the
second city in China to receive the Singapore Airlines A380 after
Shanghai. The aircraft is also deployed to Hong Kong, as well as
to Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne (until 25 October
2014), Mumbai, New Delhi, New York, Paris, Sydney, Tokyo Narita
and Zurich.
