Bede Barry has been appointed as General Manager
of the Holiday Inn Macau Cotai Central.
Originally from Australia,
Bede has more than 25 years experience in the hospitality
industry, working in luxury hotels throughout Europe and Southeast
Asia.
He studied at the prestigious Salburger
Hotelfachschule hotel school in Austria, where he received a
diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He then went on to
work primarily in the Rooms Division for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts
in Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Bede
brings a strong business and management background to Holiday Inn,
as well as extensive experience in hotel pre-openings and
renovations, both at the property and corporate level.
In 2010 he
moved to Macau to take up his most recent position as General
Manager, Grand Lapa Macau.
The Holiday Inn Macau Cotai Central is the worlds largest
Holiday Inn with 1,224 guestrooms and suites; it also has the
unique distinction of being the only Holiday Inn to be awarded
Four Stars in the 2014 Forbes Travel Guide annual Star Ratings.
