Travelport has unveiled a series of significant enhancements and extensive new content to Travelport Rooms and More – its B2B hotel booking engine.

The new version, which was developed following customer feedback, features over 450,000 unique hotel properties, and one million room offers all fully bookable through one portal.

Enhancements to the new version of Travelport Rooms and More, which was originally launched in summer 2011, includes a fresh look and feel, a more user-friendly, next generation interface and faster commission payment processes for travel agents.

All enhancements have been made in response to travel agency feedback and are designed to make booking hotels even faster, easier and more profitable for travel agents.

Recent Euromonitor estimates indicate that the global hotel sector is likely to continue growing steadily in value and could be worth $628bn by 2017, a growth of 35% compared to 2012.

As part of the enhanced version, Travelport has also integrated new content from hotel aggregators lowcostbeds.com, Quickbeds.com, and, most recently, the UAE’s Destinations of the World.

Travelport’s Niklas Andréen, GVP Hospitality and Partner Marketing, said, “We are a firm believer in listening carefully to our customers and then evolving our products based on their feedback. The next evolution of Travelport Rooms and More needed to deliver even faster navigation, allowing agents to really take advantage of our unbeatable choice of hotel content, as well as simplified processes. For example, a key challenge for our agency customers was the collection of their commissions and so this was also an area we have also focused on.”

Travelport Rooms and More has grown steadily in popularity amongst travel agents since its launch, and is now being used in six languages in over 70 countries.
