Best Western International has opened a new
hotel in Jakarta, the Best Western Hariston.
Located in North Jakarta, the newly-built
midscale hotel brings more than 200 contemporary rooms and suites
to this fast-growing region, close to the city’s port and just 20
minutes’ drive from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
All rooms feature
37-inch flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, in-room movies,
minibars and complimentary Wi-Fi.
The hotel also offers an array
of guest facilities, including a restaurant, bar, 24-hour room
service, an outdoor swimming pool and sauna room.
For the
corporate and events market, Best Western Hariston offers 11
meeting rooms.
“With its rich maritime history,
North Jakarta has always been a center of industry and commerce.
And the area is now undergoing a renaissance, with a series of new
cultural heritage attractions and retail offerings drawing an
increasing number of visitors,” said Glenn de Souza, BWI’s Vice
President of International Operations for Asia & the Middle East. “Best Western Hariston will cater to the rising number
of business and leisure travelers visiting this fascinating area,
with a range of modern amenities and our signature service
standards that are enjoyed by guests at Best Western hotels all
over the world.”
The 201-room Best
Western Hariston becomes BWI’s third hotel in Jakarta, following
the 168-room Best Western Mangga Dua Hotel & Residence and 67-room
Best Western Mega Kuningan, which welcomed its first guests last
month.
This brings the company’s nationwide
portfolio to 10 hotels in five destinations - Jakarta, Bali,
Semarang, Serpong and Malang. BWI has plans to expand its
Indonesian collection to more than 30 properties in the coming
years, including debut hotels in key cities such as Bandung,
Pontianak, Makassar, Banjarmasin, Samarinda and Palu.
