Rail Europe is celebrating its 18th birthday
with promotions and special deals on early bird reservations.
Between London and Paris, Lille or Brussels, Rail Europe is
offering fares for a fraction of the usual price, starting from as
little as €40 on the Eurostar, the high speed rail service linking
the UK to the continent. Travellers can also explore any of the
City Night Line routes from €46.
First class fares on the high speed train Thalys, are available from €58 between Paris and Brussels,
€38 between Paris and Cologne and €78 between Paris and Amsterdam.
Travel between Paris and northern Italy on the TGV, an alternative
high speed rail network allowing passengers to make the most of
their day, starts from only €45.
Other special
deals under the Birthday Promotions include a 20% discount on the
France Rail Pass and a 10% discount on all types of London Passes.
Other tantalizing offers for the early bird
reservations available during the same promotion period include
discounts, additional days of free travel or bonuses on most
European train passes.
A 5 or 6 day German Rail
Pass purchased before 31 March, for travel until 31 May 2013, is
discounted by 20%. With an additional free Welcome Card to four
cities - Berlin, Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt
- travellers can take their time visiting the scenic destinations
and discover the outstanding culture and attractions the country
has to offer.
A 4-day Swiss Pass for first-class
travel by train, bus and even boat routes until 30 April offers
an additional travelling day – plus free admission to 470 museums
and 50% discount on cable cars.
For those seeking a
European trip later in the year, early bird reservations for a
Eurail Global pass can be booked throughout February and March
enabling visitors to travel anytime until October to over 24
countries. With up to 5 free extra days of travelling up for
grabs, the affordable extended excursion is ideal for travellers
of all ages wanting to discover the beauty of Europe from the
comfort of a train.
