Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok in conjunction with
the Thai Red Cross and Red Crescent Society, recently organized the
6th Annual Cancer Care Charity Fun Run in Lumpini Park, Bangkok.
Held on 23 February 2013, the event raised funds for
cancer research programs. This years recipient from the proceeds
of the run was the Hematological Cancer Research Centre at Chulalongkorn Hospital.
The charity fun run
attracted groups, families, individuals and companies
who generously set aside their time to participate in the fun
event.
Approximately THB 4 million is expected to be be
raised from the charity runs, including the run at Four Seasons
Chiang Mai which took place on 2 March, and the one at Four
Seasons Koh Samui, which will take place on 1 June 2013.
In Bangkok, the winners for each category are as
follows:
- Female winner of 5 kms -
Ms Tanaporn Atsawongcharoen -
Male winner of 5 kms - Mr. Craig Sauers
- Female winner of 10 kms - Ms Nuttachaya
Thanaranawat - Male winner of 10 kms -
Mr. Suthus Kullapanakitti -
Child winner of 1 km - Apinya (10
years old)
The Management of Manulife Insurance (Thailand)
PCL received the Queens trophy for the largest group category.
H.E. Amb. Philip Calvert, Ambassador,
Embassy of Canada, attended the charity fun run as
the guest of honor, together with various ambassadors and their
wives as well as staff.
