Tune Hotel Melbourne is going to open almost two
weeks ahead of its original schedule of 1 November 2013 and to
celebrate, is offering every room from just A$50 a night including
added extras.
“While the official soft opening of the hotel
had been earmarked for 1 November, we are thrilled to announce
that we are ahead of schedule and will bring the opening forward
to 21 October,” said Tune Hotels Group CEO,
Mark Lankester. “It’s not every day that things go well in
terms of construction and development and we are absolutely
delighted. To celebrate this early completion, we are offering all
rooms for stay dates from 21 to 31 October for a promotional rate
of just A$50 per night. And to make stays even more comfortable,
we’ve thrown in a Comfort Package at no extra cost to guests. We
know we are a new entrant into the Melbourne hospitality scene and
we have a differentiated business model that is somewhat new to
Australia. Take advantage of the celebratory rates, hop onto the
website and give us a go!”
The offer applies to all room types - doubles,
twins and family rooms. The included Comfort Package features one
set of towel rental and toiletries, high speed wireless internet
and Foxtel ready TV entertainment.
The promotion is exclusively available at
tunehotels.com from midnight 4 October until 30 October 2013. The
promotion is available on a first come, first served basis and
subject to availability of rooms. Terms and conditions apply.
The 225-room Tune Hotel Melbourne at 609
Swanston Street, Carlton is located next to the University of
Melbourne, just two streets away from popular Lygon Street, a
short walk to Queen Victoria Market and minutes to Melbourne’s
Central Business District (CBD).
The property features an indoor courtyard, a
recreational lounge, a restaurant, café/ convenience store,
luggage storage, self-service launderette and computer kiosks. It
is also equipped with a basement car park, something unusual for
city centre hotels in Australia.
Tune Hotel Melbourne is the 33rd property for
international value hotel brand Tune Hotels.
Including Tune Hotel Melbourne, Tune Hotels now
has 33 hotels in operation in eight countries - eleven in in
Malaysia, five each in the UK, Indonesia and the Philippines, four
in Thailand, and one each India, Japan and Australia.
Tune Hotels pioneered a “pay-as-you-use” concept
that has become hugely popular among travellers from across the
world. Under the concept, guests only pay for room rates with the
option of adding on other amenities like towels and toiletries,
in-room Wi-Fi and satellite TV service.
All Tune Hotels feature space-efficient,
streamlined rooms focusing on high-quality basics: 5-star beds and
powerful hot showers. The strategically located hotels provide
housekeeping services, electronic keycard access into rooms,
extensive CCTV systems, and no access into the main lobby without
a keycard past midnight for extra security.
“We are looking forward to introducing this
innovative accommodation model to the Australian marketplace and
know it will be as popular here as it is overseas,” Mr Lankester
said. “Our opening comes ahead of the big Melbourne events from
the Melbourne Cup to Beyoncé’s world tour, so guests can enjoy a
stay in the city centre without having to spend a fortune on
accommodation.”
Along with being the home of Australia’s first
Tune Hotels’ property, Melbourne will also be the headquarters
overseeing the group’s Australia and New Zealand operations,
working in conjunction with the corporate office in Kuala Lumpur.
