Garuda Indonesia celebrated the arrival of its
first Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range) in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The
long-haul, twin-aisle airplane is the first of 10 777-300ERs
delivered to the airline and is a key component of the Garuda Indonesia's Quantum Leap fleet revitalization program.
The airline configured its new 777-300ERs with
eight first-class suites, 38 business-class seats and 268 seats in
economy class. The aircraft is also equipped with inflight
internet connectivity.
"The 777 is an extraordinary airplane that will
bring a new level of experience for our first and business class
passengers," said Emirsyah Satar, president director of Garuda
Indonesia.
The Boeing 777-300ER can fly up to 7,825 nautical miles (14,490 km)
and are equipped with GE90-115B engines.
