Helsinki Airport, operated by Finavia, has added two new fashion watch and jewellery stores to its offering of well-known luxury brands, the first step in a major modification and modernisation of Helsinki Airport's commercial activities.

Finavia has entered into a contract with a Finnish fashion watch and jewellery retailer and wholesaler Finngold Oy. Finngold brings brand named watches and jewellery into two new shops at Helsinki Airport, in Terminal 2 in the Schengen area.

One of the new stores covering 57 square meters will offer Pandora, Swarovski and Thomas Sabo in a multi-brand environment, combining the strengths of all three brands. The other 47 square meter store will carry Bering, Gant, Michael Kors, Guess and Gucci, also in a multi-brand offering.

"We are more than delighted, that we have been able to setup these two new stores together with the brand owners and retailer in a very short time. The concepts reflect very well the future commercial strategy at Helsinki Airport, aiming to provide travellers exactly what they are demanding. We are also happy to offer an opportunity for expansion to a current retailer that has shown good performance and a positive mind-set towards our aim to improve the commercial offer at Helsinki Airport. Contacts with the brand representatives have also been very positive. We are confident that we are soon able to inform you about additional interesting openings taking place in a near future. Helsinki Airport provides an attractive platform for brands for reaching a very international group of consumers," said Jukka Isomki, Vice President of Commercial Services at Finavia.
