British Airways has appointed Jonty Brunner as
Regional General Manager for Japan and Korea.
Mr. Brunner will be
based in Tokyo and is set to replace Vishal Sinha, who oversaw the
airline’s Japan and Korea operations for the past five years.
Mr.
Brunner has been with British Airways for five years, working in
various capacities.
On the appointment, Jamie Cassidy, Area General
Manager Asia and the Pacific region for British Airways said, “Jonty
brings with him a wealth of experience in finance and management.
We have great ambitions for Japan and I am confident that his
extensive knowledge and experience will be a great driving force
for our Japan operations.”
Mr. Brunner added, “I am pleased to be taking
this role during such an exciting period. Japan always has, and
will continue to be an important market for our company. Following
on from our success as the official airline partner of the London
Olympics in 2012, we are very fortunate to have opportunities such
as the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which will offer tremendous potential
for the travel industry in the region.”
