India’s Jet Airways is to launch a second daily
direct flight from Mumbai to Singapore.
The new service, effective
1 November 2013,
will complement the night flight currently in operation.
The new frequency into Singapore will make
Jet Airways the only Indian carrier to operate six daily direct
flights connecting Singapore with Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai.
The
airline will deploy a two-class state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 Next
Generation aircraft with 'Sky interiors' on this route.
Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial
Officer, Jet Airways, said, “Jet Airways is happy to introduce a
second frequency on the high density Mumbai-Singapore route
following an increased demand due to tourist and business traffic.
With the introduction of this additional flight, we aim to provide
our guests seamless connectivity to points across Asia, Australia
and New Zealand from Singapore. The new flight would also help in
connecting our guests flying into Mumbai from Jet Airways’
extended network to Singapore and beyond. Jet Airways has
established itself as a prestigious brand on account of the warmth
of its service and quality of its in-flight product and we are
confident that this new service would also prove equally popular
with its guests.”
