Gulf Air is to add seven extra weekly flights
between Bahrain and Jeddah, increasing capacity on the route by
over 30% from 9 July 2013.
The airline will now operate one extra frequency
daily, increasing its scheduled flights to the key city in the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to three per day.
The extra flights offer more flexibility for Bahrain
and Saudi-based business and leisure travelers and more flights
for pilgrims who now have more choices to visit the Holy City of
Mecca via Jeddah.
Gulf Air Acting Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Maher Salman Al Musallam said, “I would like to thank Saudi
Arabia’s General Authority specifically its President Prince Fahd
bin Abdullah Al Saud, and its Vice President, Dr. Faisal Al-Sugair
and his colleagues for their cooperation in approving the
additional frequencies. The introduction of additional flights
between Jeddah and Bahrain reinforces the importance of the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a key longstanding market for Gulf Air
and is aligned to the airline’s business strategy to concentrate
on high-demand routes to ensure its primary customer base is
served effectively and efficiently.”
